feuertrunkenfreudeWillowbranch padded into the apprentices den, ready for some training. Last night the leader of her clan had assigned her a rather kind cat to mentor, Rainpaw. "Willowbranch you are ready to take on an apprentice, you will mentor Rainpaw. Teach her your intelligence and gentle ways."The she-cat remembered those words like she had with all her apprentice ceremonies. Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, she went up to Rainpaw and nudged the apprentice softly with one paw. "Rainpaw first day of training!"

The silvery cat stretched slowly, still revelling in her dream. The smell of the flowers all around was dominant in this space. The sun shone, but everything glistened as if it small amounts of water had just lightly coated everything. It was such a pleasant dream... but something was bringing her out of it. Dark blue eyes slowly fluttered open, and Rainpaw identified her new mentor. The words fell into her ears: "...day of training!" At that, Rainpaw sprang up, somewhat flustered and embarrassed to not have responded right away. "I'm so sorry Willowbranch. I'm awake now."

Willowbranch dipped her head and twitched her whiskers with amusement, "Don't worry about it. Now today I'm going to be showing you the territory. Go ahead and grab something to eat and meet me at the camp entrance." With that she rose to her paws and turned her head one more time to watch Rainpaw before heading for the camp entrance. She had already eaten so she figured that she could at least give herself a cleaning.

ooc: I'm so sorry. The announcement of bookmarked things moved and I was confused.
bic: Rainpaw fidgeted as Willowbranch left the den. She'd been told before that apprentices weren't supposed to eat before everyone else did. Despite that, she was hungry, and she would be moving a lot today, which meant using a lot of energy. Also, Willowbranch had told her to eat. Decided, the young cat slunk over to the fresh-kill pile to select a small fish, looking around to be sure that no one was judging her for, as a new apprentice, eating first thing in the morning.
She settled down in the shade at the edge of the camp to eat her fish as quickly as possible, then wondered what she should do with the bones and looked around for her mentor again.
