Being a leader was hard work, but Rabbitstar never let that take even a moment of his dedication away. He still fought, he still patrolled, and he still hunted like he was a young on. However, it had been forever since the tom had lead a patrol, and today he was feeling up to it. He'd awoken extra early, told the deputy that he would handle patrols today, and gathered together several of his Clanmates. They went in the direction of the WindClan border, where a stream separated them from the moors beyond. The sun was being down on them, lapping intense head over their pelts.
He turned to his patrol as the scents got strong and he stopped in place. He perked his ears up and glanced around, as he swore that he head footsteps.

Mind if I join in with my patrol? Jaystar padded through the bushes as she sensed a smell of Thunderclan. Padding forward she reached the patrol and meowed with a hint of slyness, "Well, well, if it isn't the new leader of Thunderclan, Rabbitstar." She looked the leader up and down to study her body shape and shrugged, nothing to worry about. She then narrowed her eyes at the clan leader and waited for a greeting as well.

((Sure~))
Rabbitstar stood tall as he caught sight of the WindClan leader. He bowed his head to the she-cat before speaking. "Jaystar," he said with a respectful nod, though the WindClan patrol was awfully close to passing the boundary. The tom glanced back at his patrol and then back over to Jaystar. "What brings you out today?"

The she-cat stood taller as she did and replied, "I am merely doing a patrol, so I'll be setting my borders now." She watched the leader as she marked the borders and made sure that she didn't even try crossing, she would show that this was her territory and now cat would step paw on it. "Don't even think about stealing away any more of our territory."

"I wouldn't imagine," Rabbitstar said as his patrol set their side of the border. He was careful to step close but not over, keeping his eyes on the she-cat. There was no aggression in him, at least not right then, but the way she looked at him made him feel mildly threatened. "You plains are of no use to a forest cat, and your rabbits have nothing to them."
